On The Road Trailer

Hot young actors Kristen Stewart, Garrett Hedlund and Sam Riley will be pairing up for a wacky road trip in their upcoming flick On The Road.

Based on a novel written by acclaimed novelist Jack Kerouac way back in 1951 and with many failed attempts to adapt it to the big screen in that time, it finally got the green light well and truly after the Beat Generation that adored it back in the day became the elderly. Though plenty of those old folks would be curious to see how good a movie version is, On The Road is clearly more aimed at today’s youth. By having the three lead actors all being good looking and a shot in the trailer of them all sitting in the front seat of their car topless, it will at least let viewers have a bit of a perv.

Set in the late 1940s, it seems the plot is like that of many road trip movies before it (though ironically they may well have been inspired by the On The Road novel way back when), where a group of disenfranchised youth decide to hit the road to explore the countryside and meet many quirky folks along the way and even learn a bit about themselves. There’s also the inevitable clash between the fellas over Stewart sitting between them all the time (seems to be an ongoing theme in Kristen Stewart movies, even outside of the Twilight saga; what a cock tease!)

Despite the production values looking pretty good and the plot based on an acclaimed novel, its great cast will probably be the film’s main draw card with audiences once the film is released. With Kristen Stewart, Sam Riley, Garrett Hedlund, Viggo Mortensen, Kirsten Dunce, and Steve Buscemi, plenty of movie goers will be interested in seeing these actors together in the one movie.
